Processing magnesium requires strict environmental control and specialized finishing. We offer:
  • Thin-Wall Casting: Taking advantage of magnesium's low viscosity, we can cast walls as thin as 0.8mm - 1.0mm, which is significantly thinner than what is possible with aluminum.
  • Safety & Process Control: Our casting cells are equipped with advanced SF6/N2 protection gas systems to prevent oxidation and ensure safe melting.
  • Corrosion Protection: Magnesium corrodes easily. We provide essential in-house surface treatments including Chemical Conversion Coating, Anodizing (Type II), and E-Coating to seal the surface immediately after machining.
  • Precision Machining: Because magnesium machines faster than any other metal, we can rapidly drill, tap, and face sealing surfaces with minimal tool wear.

Alloy Grade Characteristics Best Application
AZ91D The most commonly used alloy. Excellent castability, high strength, and moderate corrosion resistance. General electronics, power tools, brackets, computer parts.
AM60B Features higher ductility and elongation (toughness) than AZ91D. Better energy absorption. Automotive steering wheels, seat structures, safety components.
AM50A Even higher ductility than AM60B. Reduces tendency to crack under stress. Interior automotive panels, thin-walled structural die castings.
AS41B Superior creep resistance at higher temperatures (up to 150°C). Engine components, transmission cases (where heat is a factor).
