Hei-Cast 8752 Vacuum Casting Material
Hei-Cast 8752 is a high-performance polyurethane resin developed to simulate the thermal and mechanical characteristics of PBT (Polybutylene Terephthalate) or heat-stabilized ABS. When standard prototyping resins fail under thermal stress, Hei-Cast 8752 excels. It is distinguished by its high heat deflection temperature and exceptional structural rigidity. At JUCHENG, we utilize this material for functional prototypes that must operate in high-temperature environments, making it ideal for under-hood automotive components, electrical housings, and industrial parts requiring long-term thermal stability.

Basic Characteristics & Composition
Hei-Cast 8752 is a two-component system engineered for structural performance in heated conditions.
- High Temperature Resistance: It maintains its shape and stiffness at elevated temperatures (HDT approx. 115°C), where standard resins would warp or soften.
- PBT/ABS Simulation: It mimics the rigidity, hardness, and heat resistance of production-grade engineering thermoplastics.
- High Rigidity: Possesses a high flexural modulus, making it suitable for structural parts that must resist bending under load.
- Surface Finish: Cures to a smooth, hard surface that can be easily painted or textured.
Color Options
- Standard: Beige / Light Brown.
- Painting: Its neutral base color and hard surface make it an excellent substrate for high-quality paint finishes, including metallic and gloss coatings. JUCHENG recommends painting for the best aesthetic results.
Key Technical Parameters

2. PROCESSING
- Vacuum Casting: Requires a high-quality vacuum process to ensure a dense, bubble-free part, which is critical for thermal performance.
- Pot Life: Approx. 8-10 minutes.
- Demolding: 60 minutes at 70°C.
- Post-Curing: A multi-stage thermal post-cure is mandatory to achieve the rated heat deflection temperature. JUCHENG follows strict curing profiles to maximize performance.
3. PRECAUTIONS:
- Brittleness: Like most high-temp resins, it is more brittle than PP-like simulants. Sharp corners should be avoided in the design.
- Moisture: Sensitive to humidity before casting.
4. STORAGE:
Conditions: Store in a dry, cool place away from sunlight.

Application Scenarios & Fields
Hei-Cast 8752 is essential for thermal validation prototypes:
- Automotive: Under-hood components (engine covers, air boxes), HVAC housings, lighting bezels.
- Household Appliances: Coffee machine internal structures, toaster housings, hairdryer components.
- Industrial: Pump housings handling warm fluids, motor casings, electrical switchgear.
- Electronics: Power supply casings, projector lamp housings.
Vacuum Casting Process Compatibility
- Silicone Tooling: Compatible with standard silicone molds.
- Machining: Cured parts are hard and machine cleanly. They can be drilled, tapped, and CNC trimmed.
- Inserts: Excellent for casting in metal threaded inserts due to its high rigidity.
Advantages vs. Limitations
| Advantages | Limitations |
| High Heat Resistance: Stable up to ~115°C. | Impact Resistance: Lower impact strength compared to tough ABS or PP simulants. |
| High Rigidity: Excellent stiffness for structural parts. | Color: Limited to beige/brown in its natural state; requires painting for aesthetics. |
| Good Machinability: Cures to a hard, machinable solid. | Cost: Premium high-temp resin is more expensive than standard types. |
| Dimensional Stability: Low shrinkage ensures accuracy. |
